“I'd
say the TestEdge course is a good course. It really helps you focus
away from negative stress and helps you turn that back into confidence”

“Freeze-Frame
has helped me catch some of my errors on tests and things because if
I'm rushing through a test really fast and I'm really nervous about
it, I'll stop at the end and realize that I should've been focussing
more on the test and not so much on the anxiety. I'll do Freeze-Frame
and activate a positive feeling, then go back and figure out what I
did wrong and actually fix it. My scores have actually gone up some.”

“The
first time I used Freeze-Frame was in my ice hockey game while I was
arguing with a referee. I stopped and I asked myself if this was worth
getting a penalty over. The reason for doing the Freeze-Frame is to
shift from a negative emotion to a positive emotion and see how your
heart reads the situation. The benefits of using Freeze-Frame for me
are: It helps me control my anger and I can take a break from all the
stress I have had that day.”

One
student who used a stress-reduction technique prior to re-taking an
essay test she needed to pass to graduate said she felt "peaceful
and calm" in a way that she had not experienced in previous test-taking
situations, and noted, "The words just flowed."
|
Another
student, hung up on three math problems on the SATs, reported that he
felt "anxious.shaking inside because I was concerned about not being
able to do the problems." After recalibrating for less than one minute,
the student said that he felt "calm and could concentrate," working
through the solutions without getting stuck
|
"It
really works! I tried the technique before a speech I had to give and
it really worked! I felt free and that I could do anything. I didn't
feel stressed anymore or nervous. I was calm and I could do my speech
without feeling nervous."
|
"What
I found useful was that it helped me to relax and stay focused towards
my work."
"It helps clear your mind from things you shouldn't be focusing on."
"It taught me to relax and breathe during stressful situations. I am
more tolerant."
"I would recommend this program to someone who gets nervous before
tests or who gets stressed or depressed easily."
"I'd recommend that everyone should take it because it helped me not
only with the stress of school but also with the stress of things in
life."
"It helped me relax before all tests. My grades have improved greatly."

"Today
in this seminar I really liked the idea of Freeze-Frame. I tried it
during my history class when this boy was acting really dumb. I felt
like hitting him, and then I remembered, and I paused every thought
I had and started thinking only about my family and how I loved them
and they loved me. I calmed down and smiled. Hitting him just wasn't
important."

"Thank
you for making the program Heart Smarts. It really has helped me a lot,
because before I was in a fight with one of my friends, but then I freeze-Framed.
I found out what the problem was and my friend and I both attacked the
problem, and now we're best of friends!"

"Freeze-Frame
has really helped me in life. When I get stressed out, I Freeze-Frame
so I won't do something I'm going to regret. It has helped me prevent
situations like an argument with my Mom and a fight with a friend. This
is really helpful in life. To tell you the truth, at first, I really
didn't believe it worked, yet I proved myself wrong. It does work!"

"Thank
you for your wonderful teachings of Heart Intelligence. It's really
helped me with my stress. I appreciate you caring and knowing that teens
get stressed out too. Most people are ignorant to the fact that teens
have problems to worry about just like adults. Freeze-Frame should be
taught in more schools, and maybe the USA won't be so uptight."

"I
have used Cut-Thru in relation to my ten-year-old son who I see twice
a week since his mother and I divorced. Cut-Thru has helped me appreciate
him more and more. Last week we volunteered at a food kitchen together.
He gave himself totally. I gained a whole different wonderful image
of my son and I attribute it to the new eyes Cut- Thru has given me."

"Using
Cut-Thru, I ask my heart intelligence to show me where to have more
balance and to see it during the day. Getting my kids off to school
in the morning is one of the most trying times of my day. Now I'm just
going with the flow-able to shift and flex with things."

"I
can easily fall into old patterning of impatience and demand with my
8 1/2 year old daughter. My body becomes very rigid; my breath becomes
very shallow; my muscles tighten. When I stop my world and use the HeartMath
tools, the difference in muscle tension, breath and ease in my body
can be profound. I also have become a kinder and more compassionate
person since using these tools on a consistent basis."

"The
quality of my connection with my child has improved significantly and
I feel so much more in touch with myself and with my intention as a
parent. I also feel the clarity to make more effective decisions and
to create an environment that enables my child to express his full potential."

"Being a single, working mother of a teen boy, I learned tools
that brought balance and harmony to our hectic life, and created a peaceful
existence between my son and me."

"My
son was in a car accident. Two boys were with him, and only one had
some injury which was not serious. Freeze-Framing was very useful to
me the night I went to the accident site.. Dealing with the police,
my son, parents of the other boys in the wreck, all required efficient
and effective responses. No one was cited because of the accident and
we all felt very lucky. Freeze-Framing with my wife before she talked
to my son helped her see what she really wanted to communicate to him.
Needless to say it was not her anger but her love. Freeze-Framing helped
her and me (we did it together ) do what our hearts told us to do, (and)
follow our core values. About one week later, my son said that he 'really
liked how we handled the accident and the whole thing.' Now that is
a priceless comment to get from a 17 year old son!"

"Even
given a relatively short amount of time to learn and practice the stress-reduction
techniques, over 70 percent of the participants surveyed felt the skills
they had learned (in the TestEdge program) were of significant help
on the MCAS--and all of them felt the program was of some aid. Nearly
90 percent of the participants believed that they performed better on
the test using these techniques than they would have otherwise."

"Initially,
I was very skeptical. But when I brought it into my own classroom, my
students were so thirsty for anything that would help them access what
they've learned and succeed on tests that they stuck with it. The self-reflection
aspect of the Freeze-Frame technique seemed strange to me--but they
seemed all right with it. Now, I think the program's great. I can see
that it's effective and that it works."

used to have a stack of discipline referrals on my desk and was in regular
contact with the vice principal. Now, I don't even know where my referral
slips are located, and the vice principal and I mainly talk about positive
changes we notice in the kids."

"HeartMath
Learning Programs and techniques are essential for giving special needs
students the tools they need to go into the regular classroom. This
was our motivation for implementing the programs throughout our school.
HeartMath appealed to me because kids have to feel safe or else learning
is not going to happen. And the programs can easily be integrated into
any curriculum."

"HeartMath
offers the most effective techniques for helping students overcome their
math anxiety that I have ever seen. After seeing big improvements in
math test scores, students' ability to better understand new concepts,
and students' attitudes, I became real excited about the broader implications
for these learning strategies. A real buzz has been created at our college
campus and in surrounding schools. We look forward to a long relationship
with HeartMath."
